Kiln firing
How firing works
We load the kilns on Monday and Thursday and unload on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Put your dry pots on the firing cart with a name tag; we'll weigh, load and fire them.

About us
Two potters, one old bakery.
Slip & Ember opened in 2021 when two production potters got tired of renting kiln space across town. We turned an empty bakery into the studio we wanted: big tables, good wheels, and a kiln schedule you can actually plan around.
We teach the way we learned: one person, one wheel, and a teacher who sits down next to you.

Short version
- Clean your wheel and splash pan before you leave
- Label every piece on the bottom with your initials
- Unclaimed pots move to the free shelf after 30 days
- Only studio clay and glazes go in our kilns, or tested cone 6 bodies with prior approval
